Grooming

Grooming your Scottish Fold/Straight cat/kitten, whether it has long or short hair...

There are two types of Scottish Folds: shorthair and longhair. Their coats are thick and soft, and they shed little throughout the year, with the spring and fall seeing the most shedding. To get rid of loose hair, brush shorthaired Folds once a week. Longhaired Folds could need to be combed through many times each week, while those with less undercoat would need to be combed less frequently. Bathing once a month keeps their coats clean and helps eliminate stray hair.Give them a beautiful tall scratching pole to support their natural scratching instinct and, like with other cats, keep their nails clipped, ears cleaned, and teeth brushed on a regular basis with a veterinarian-approved pet toothpaste.

INTEGRITY & TRANSPARENCY

When choosing an Ortiz Sottish Fold, you're probably considering its kind (e.g., Ortiz Sottish Fold Straight), color, and price range. Where you find your kitten is equally significant; when you think about the amount of time you'll be spending with your kitten, the breeder or cattery you select to adopt them from is a huge decision. We think that a respectable cattery should not leave any room for doubt regarding its adoption procedure. We understand how you're feeling whether you're a first-time owner of an Ortiz Sottish Fold or if you've had a negative experience in the past. It might be intimidating to have to trust someone you don't know. Our pre-bonding services are designed to foster trust during the adoption period by maintaining frequent, consistent communication. At Ortiz Scottish Cattery, honesty and openness are essential. The Documents section contains information on our adoption procedure, services, kitten application, contract, and pedigree. All of our adoptive families may read the findings of their Sire/Dam HCM genetic testing, echocardiography tests, and health and wellness certifications when they pick up their kittens.
